We've been buying and selling 911s for years. We feel the 997.2 was Porsche's last rasp at a true analog, engaging experience. Not too big, not too loud aesthetically. No turbochargers, driver's aids, fancy computer screens that WILL date themselves if they're even working 10 years from now. Power comes on from a naturally aspirated 9A1 direct-injected 3.6L engine. This was Porsche's last non-GT3 N/A engine. They're as tough as nails. No IMS woes, bore scoring, or anything of the like. The 997.2 DFI Base engine makes equivalent power to a 997.1 S engine. And in our opinion, is a much more enjoyable engine throughout the RPM ranges. The interior is everything you want and nothing you don't. No Electronic handbrake in your manual car (!) This was the last generation of Porsche's lovely hydraulic steering rack before it went electric.  Do to the financial crisis of 2008, roughly 70% of 997s are Mark 1/ 997.1 models. Furthermore, with the introduction of the all-new PDK box in 2009, the take rate for 6 speed manuals was estimated to be around 15%.  Of that percentage, how many were coupes, with good miles and excellent ownership and service history?  

This particular car was acquired by its former custodian in the SF Bay Area with 20k miles from Niello Porsche in Rocklin, CA in 2016. A member of the local PCA, this owner spared no expense from Day 1 on proper care. We have a service binder documenting the car from that point forward.
